Swan River Cleanup

Cleaning up the Swan River embankments.

City Rotary’s Swan River Embankment Clean-Up project partners with the Keep Australia Beautiful Council’s Adopt-a-Spot program. Regular embankment clean-up events run from one to two hours with City Rotary members, students, families and friends collecting rubbish from designated areas of the Swan River, with a particular focus on our East Perth area. Following each event, rubbish is photographed, catalogued and a summary of findings provided to the Department of Water & Environmental Regulation. These findings are then shared with relevant Councils and regulatory agencies for benchmarking and action.
