In an executive career spanning over two decades, Amanda has created positive change on individual, service and sector levels in service of Western Australians facing hardship, vulnerability and disadvantage.

Amanda recently stood as a candidate in the Federal Election, with the aim of developing new skills and knowledge about the political system and was successful in gaining first hand experience and knowledge about driving reform and improvements in social policy at a National level.

Amanda has a wealth of experience in leadership, organisational and individual transformation, business growth and community development, notably as Chief Executive Officer of Uniting WA, a For-purpose organisation that exists to inspire people, enliven communities, and confront injustice.

With a Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) and a Master of Business Leadership, Amanda is committed to building stronger connections across government, corporate and the community sectors, creating opportunities for shared learning, new partnerships and advocating for change making.

Amanda is a values-driven, big thinker guided by a firm belief that all people in Western Australia can and should be empowered to achieve a life of belonging, hope and purpose.

Amanda is committed to respectful relationships with First Nations people and has fostered equal partnerships with Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal Controlled organisations to enable successful Reconciliation in action.

In 2016, Amanda joined forces with other community sector leaders to establish the WA Alliance to End Homelessness, with the goal of ending homelessness in our State within the next decade
