Harry Perkins Institute

Judi Lane is the Community Education Manager for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research Team and has worked at the Perkins for 5 years. Her previous roles and employment have all been based within a variety of education fields. She has worked as a teacher, an educational publisher and writer as well as a mentor. She was born in Victoria, and moved with her family to WA in her mid-teens. She barracks for the Dockers.

Her talk will focus on the role of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and what it means for families in Perth and beyond. She will talk about the type of research the Perkins does, and highlight some of the areas they are working on in regards to major diseases affecting our loved ones.

Importantly, she will highlight some examples of how the Perth community can be involved in supporting vital research that helps our families.
