LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCES

Today’s teenagers have an overwhelming myriad of choices and decisions to lead them into the future.

For Daniel James, the decision to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) in January this year changed his life.

Daniel has always been passionate about helping and supporting those less fortunate than himself.  Since leaving high school he has volunteered in a number of roles acting as a mentor for troubled youth; working with organisations such as Dismantled empowering vulnerable youth and as a team buddy for Camp Opportunity in Melville.

He is currently completing a Bachelor of Youth Work at Edith Cowan University and working part time at MercyCare.

Come and hear Daniel speak about RYLA and how it impacted his life and how his involvement with Camp Opportunity gave him the change to positively impact someone else’s life.

This is the first of our new format meetings and the first Club meeting at our new venue at the WACA.

City Rotary meetings will continue to alternate between 1^st and 3^rd Wednesdays of the month. Now, we will be also alternating between breakfast and evening meetings to provide more time for networking and camaraderie.
