Meet Catalina: Our Exchange Student from Argentina

Catalina is an exchange student from Coronel Suárez, Argentina. She grew up with three sisters, so she’s used to plenty of laughter and sharing. Catalina loves sports of all kinds and is always keen to join in a game. At school, her favorite subject is literature—she especially enjoys stories from history and ancient myths, which spark her imagination. She also has a sweet talent: making traditional Argentine alfajores. Catalina jokes that she could happily live on them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and maybe dessert too!).

Coming to Australia has been one of Catalina’s biggest dreams. She’s excited to discover Australian animals, experience school life here, and most of all, make new friends. And of course, she never forgets a taste of home—Catalina enjoys drinking mate, a traditional Argentine tea that she says is perfect for sharing with friends.
