WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE WACA?

There’s been a lot of construction activity at the WACA ground and now it is nearing completion. 

It’s a massive project that will transform the WACA ground into a year-round community activity centre and a 10,000 seat sport and event venue.  

There’ll be a new spectator pavilion, public swimming pools, ten lane indoor cricket, function rooms and auditorium as well as extensive state-of-the-art facilities for elite, young and disabled cricketers. 

John has stepped into his new role as WA Cricket CEO at this exciting transformation of the WACA materialises.  John knows cricket. He was a former first-class cricketer who featured for England during the 1989 Ashes series and spent 17 years with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
